I Like Your Story!": A Co-Creative Story-Crafting Game with a Persona-Driven Character Based on Generative AI
Jiaying Fu, Xiruo Wang, Zhouyi Li, Kate Vi, Chuyan Xu, Yuqian Sun
CHI EA '25

This paper presents “1001 Nights,” a co-creative storytelling game where a generative AI agent, embodied as a moody king, dynamically shapes narrative progression. Players influence the story through strategic keyword use and receive responsive feedback. Drawing on Oulipo’s literary constraints, the system fosters accessible, playful creative writing through AI-driven interaction and game-based motivation.

Can Code Outlove Blood? A LLM-based VR Experience to Prompt Reflection on
Parental Verbal Abuse

ISEA 2025

This paper introduces a VR experience powered by LLMs to support reflection on parental verbal abuse. Participants first role-play an abusive parent, interacting with an LLM as a child, then observe the LLM reframe harsh language into nurturing expressions. A qualitative study (N=12) shows the experience fosters emotional reflection, with outcomes shaped by participants’ personal histories, highlighting the importance of personalization in AI-supported emotional interventions.

CEB-ASC 2024: Environment-Behavior and Future Human Habitat

This paper explores the adaptive relationship between human behavior and spatial form using a real-time feedback loop via AR media and behavior computation. In a social experiment, participants’ interactions with modifiable physical spaces influence virtual geometry, which in turn affects their behavior. Preliminary results highlight the method’s potential to deepen understanding of behavior-environment dynamics.

"AI Life" and Human Fear : From Phenomenological Insights to Digital Creation
Jiaying Fu*, Tianyue Gong*, Jialin Gu*, Tiange Zhou
ICME 2024

This paper examines the concept of "AI life" through a phenomenological lens, focusing on human fears of AI. It explores the root causes of these anxieties by comparing philosophical ideas on AI and human existence and presents a theoretical framework applied to an AI-narrative case study. The study highlights how AI in the arts reflects societal fears, contributing to the discourse on AI and digital creation.
